20 Months!!!!!

It's official I need a nap to recover from June. Lily is enjoying toddlerhood to the fullest extent. Her language is taking off and she can repeat words that she's heard once or twice. It keeps us on our toes trying to figure out what she's saying/ requesting/ demanding. Just within the past 1 1/2 weeks she's started peeing on the potty... not with any real consistency yet...she normally just uses it as an excuse to play with the toilet paper and flush the potty. She has also FINALLY started to like Andy. Don't get me wrong she's always liked Andy but only when mommy is in the room. It's great that I can finally eat dinner or run upstairs for a minute without causing a complete toddler meltdown. Hopefully this continues when the new baby arrives.

THIS MONTH:

 Lily Loves:
-Sesame Street
-hats and purses (or anything that slightly resembles a hat or purse)
-coloring and painting
-giving kisses on the cheek
-the sandbox
-putting blankets over her head and walking into things (I don't know but she thinks it's hilarious)

 Lily Hates:
-physics....I'm not joking she has what I've dubbed "physics tantrums". The most recent example was yesterday when she tried for 5 minutes to sit on a big bouncy ball that kept moving every time she sat down and resulted in a meltdown.

On June 11th we headed over to Nashville for my baby brother's wedding. Lucky for us my parents were able to get the hospitality suite for us to hang out in. Lily loved meeting all her first and second cousins, aunts and uncles. It is great that Lily and her twin cousins, Hazel and Bea are really close in age....they had such a good time together. Another thing that made the weekend a lot easier was that we were able to get babysitters for the night of the rehearsal dinner, before the wedding and after the reception.

After the wedding my sister and brother in law went on a 5 year anniversary trip and the twins stayed at my parent's house in Maryville which added up to some quality cousin time on the days I wasn't working. Personally I think my parent's should start a toddler summer camp. My brother in law's parents, GJ and McPop were also on hand to chase toddlers.

The only way to get all of them in a picture together....
strap them down and give them food

We also joined my Grandma (Lily's GG) for dinner at Shannondale in Maryville. Lily was like the welcoming committee and was very popular with all of the residents. She said hi to everyone that walked past her highchair until we had ice cream for dessert....then she said hi at an extra loud volume. Lily likes GGs house for several reasons. 1) there's an elevator, 2)GG has toy flowers in a pot that spin and sing a song and 3) GG has a duck pond in front of her building.
