Lily- Three Months

YAY 3 months! Lily is now approximately 11 lbs 12oz and 23 in long. Another month of firsts including her first road trip and her first giggle.

THIS MONTH:

Lily Loves:
-The TV (especially football and basketball)
-Her piano mat
-Daycare
-Her hands (she's getting her hands into her mouth with better accuracy than before)
-Watching CJ (although she's less thrilled with CJ tries to lick her face).

Lily Hates:
-Nap time (I assume she's afraid she'll miss something)
-Being still (she wiggles herself all over the place at night in her crib)
-Having her hair washed

This was a big month for both Lily and I. On January 3rd we headed to the hospital to meet our friend's daughter, Laurel. Although Lily was too young to meet Laurel at the hospital we have since gotten them together twice. We predict they will be best friends and get into all sorts of trouble.
Lily (12 weeks) and Laurel (3 weeks)

On January 13th I went back to work and Lily started daycare (with no tears from either of us). We really like the daycare and Lily seems to have adjusted well. She enjoys watching all the older babies move around and is exhausted at the end of every daycare day. For my birthday we went out to lunch with my parents, mother-in-law and nephew then my mother-in-law watched Lily and we went to the UT vs Texas A&M basketball game.

This month Lily also took her first road trip to Memphis. We were very nervous taking an 11 week old on a 6 hour road trip but she did GREAT!!! She slept the entire way to Memphis and the entire way home. She had a wonderful time in Memphis (so many people to entertain her) and she even did well when I got the stomach bug and everyone else took care of her.

Uncle Ross showed her all the mirrors at Gran's house

CJ brought Lily a toy (chewed up milk jug)

A girl and her dog pondering life's mysteries.

Such a wiggle worm.
(I put her to sleep with her feet facing the opposite direction.)

 Bath time with Daddy

Smiling in her sleep

Lily- Two Months

Whoooohoo 2 months old! It was a great month. Lily is now approximately 10 lbs 9oz (who knows exactly how accurate our home scale is) and 22in long. At about 6-7 weeks Lily started consistently sleeping through the night (thanks to advice from my mom) and we are able to get some sleep. Last night she slept 10 hours and I had to go in and wake her up.

THIS MONTH
Lily Loves:
-The Baby Bjorn
-Lights on the Christmas tree
-Watching TV
-Ceiling fans
-Sucking on her hands
-Daddy singing

Lily Hates:
-Bath time (especially having her hair washed)
-The car seat (but it's getting better)

This month we headed to a cabin in Pigeon Forge to celebrate Christmas with Andy's side of the family. It was wonderful to see everyone and get away for the weekend. This month I started pumping to get ready to go back to work. Lily has been taking one bottle per day (she wasn't very cooperative in the beginning). My parents got to babysit when Andy and I went to my work Christmas party. The next week my mom came over one afternoon to watch Lily so Andy and I could go see a movie (yay Hunger Games). On Christmas eve we went to church with my parents and brother then headed out to their house in Maryville for Christmas dinner. Lily loved opening presents the next morning (even though she slept through most of it) and liked her gift from Santa.
