Tis the season to be busy. In December we had lots of Christmas parties and events planned. The girls enjoyed helping me with Christmas cookies, going on the polar express and spending Christmas with my side of the family at "Camp" Nana and Pop. Luckily for us the weather was mild and at one point the girls were running around outside in their bathing suits.
Lily's December Update:
Lily's December Update:
While Lily enjoyed all her holiday fun at school she was very excited when it was time for winter break. She's been spending her break putting together lego building sets, drawing, sleeping in and watching TV. This year she asked Santa for (and got) several DIY (AKA Do it with mom's help) kits: making gummies, making lipgloss, making bathbombs and an art set. She started asking if Santa is real because her friend at school says he's not real.....thanks kid. This month she also learned to play mancala.
What Lily loves
- Legos
-mancala
-Nanny McPhee
-markers/ Sharpies
What Lily hates
-school
-anything that's different at school
Clara's December Update:
Clara had an eventful birthday/Christmas when she fell off the swing at Nana and Pops house and broke both bones in her left forearm. She was so brave at the hospital and when she got her cast on a few days later. At the hospital, after they gave her some pain medicine, she bawked like a chicken all the way to xray...the Dr. said "maybe we can get some fresh eggs". At the hospital she was mostly worried that everyone at Nana and Pops house were going to eat her birthday cake. A few days later when we went to orthopedic dr. she chose hot pink for her cast color (but only because rainbow wasn't an option). Other than her broken arm she has really enjoyed December with all its parties and events. Clara asked Santa for Peppa Pig toys and got quite a few.
What Clara loves
-Peppa Pig
-watching the iPad under the covers
-stretching her arms across a doorway and announcing that you need a secret password to get through
-cuddling with mommy
What Clara hates
-her cast (she has asked every day if she can take it off)
