September Update
Here in Knoxville we are enjoying the beginning of fall.....or is it a false fall before second summer comes back? So much for easing into the cooler temperatures. The girls have been enjoying the seasons changing and all the activities that come with it. We've gone to a high school football game, tailgating, a sleepover and a weekend trip to Atlanta with friends. We've also learned that if you combined equal parts 8 year old exhausted from a sleepover, a very crowded tailgate and a long walk from the car and stir you get an 8 year old who is done with the tailgate as soon as she gets to the tailgate. The trip to Atlanta included a trip to the children's museum, swimming in the pool at the airbnb house *burr*), lots of food and crafts.
Lily's September Update:
This month I've been so impressed by Lily. She started off worrying that she wouldn't make her AR goal by the end of the month. Not only did she make it but she doubled it! She's become so much more confident in school and is really enjoying her 2nd grade do-over. My work had their annual lake party that the girls looked forward to for months.....so of course I was sick. So I wore a mask and sat away from everyone and watched the girls swim and paddle board. Lily is excited for an upcoming trip for fall break and that I signed her up for basketball in a few months.
Clara's September Update:
This month at our 1st tailgate Clara surprised everyone when her tooth fell out in the grass which lead to a group of adults searching the grass for it. While the tooth was never found the tooth fairy didn't mind. Clara is still in gymnastics and still doing cartwheels in areas not meant for gymnastics. This leads to conversations like "mommy you were in my way" "sorry Hunny maybe the kitchen while I'm cooking dinner isn't a good place for a cartwheel". Clara is also doing very well in school and still loves her teacher and classmates.
