I believe what we are in now are called the "dog days of summer". Even though the girls started school at the beginning of August we've been able to cram a fair amount of fun into the end of the "summer" (even though in the south summer still lasts until October). At the McFalls house we've done some extreme demo on the back porch with the help of Pop and a skid steer. For the girls it was extremely exciting and they were very excited to help out. Clara came out to help with eye protection, work gloves and flip flops....so maybe we should have reviewed proper safety footwear. We also have gone to a few girl scout events, a birthday party and visiting with my cousin's family from Nashville.
Lily August Update:
Lily started the 3rd grade this August and loves it so far. I haven't met her teacher yet but Lily says that she is very calm.... "like she could teach yoga". At Girl Scout bridging Lily moved from a brownie to a junior (she likes the color green better anyway). When my sister, sister-in-law and I went to the beach for a long weekend the girls were thrilled to spend a long weekend with their cousins from Maine at Camp Nana and Pop.

Clara's August Update:
Clara has Lily's teacher from last year for 2nd grade which she is so excited about. She did get in trouble one day for booing the teacher and calling her a party pooper (shh I'm not supposed to know that...I asked her teacher at parent night). Now I know that growing up I would never have said something like that.....unfortunately I can't look at Andy right now and say "these are obviously your genetics you get to deal with her. Also just like Andy, Clara is the one out of all 3 of us that is always wanting to go somewhere and do something. I feel like I constantly have to remind her that I am not her cruise director.
