13 months!!

13 months old!!!!

November was a CRAZY month which included a trip to NYC, Lily's first trip to the mall playground, the 1st annual "Friendsgiving", a McFalls cabin weekend, Thanksgiving in Maryville, and the first annual "Firearm Friday". Lily is now 18 lbs 9oz and 28 1/2in long. Lily has transitioned to the toddler room at daycare and is sleeping on a cot at daycare instead of a crib

THIS MONTH:

Lily Loves:
-being chased
-squealing
-handing things to people
-waving

Lily Hates:
-her food preferences change every day. One day she will love something the next day she hates it. It's so frustrating for mommy.

The day after Lily turned 1 we flew to NYC to visit Rachel, Travis, Hazel and Bea. Lily did great on the planes on the way up (the flights back were a little more crazy). We stayed at a basement apartment that we booked through AirBNB. It was only a few blocks away from Rachel and Travis.

Rachel and I had grand plans for taking all 3 girls to the zoo, aquarium and Prospect Park.....which completely fell apart due the girls not taking naps at the same time, teething, cold weather and the general hassle of traveling anywhere with 3 babies under the age of 1 (and all the stuff that travels with them).

We did get to do some trick-or-treating with the cutest zoo animals ever. Lily hates having any type of hat on her head so it's a good thing I picked a costume that had not only a hat but HUGE ears attached.
See this face....this is her "you're a mean mommy" face
Bea (lion), Lily (elephant) and Hazel (giraffe)

Andy, Lily and I did venture into Manhattan a few times and visited Toys R US, FAO Schwarz, Grand Central Station, the Statin Island Ferry (to see the Statue of Liberty......and get Dairy Queen....that's important too) and the 9/11 memorial and museum.

I would also like to send a BIG thank you to Rachel, Travis and one of their friends who watched Lily for us while Andy and I went to see Book of Mormon. It took a very long time to get all 3 babies to bed and when we got back they looked rather shell shocked. Her friend said "I've never heard a baby scream so loud" (about Lily).

We got a chance to spend time with some of Andy's fraternity brothers and their wives at the first "Friendsgiving".

The next weekend we stayed at a cabin in Pigeon Forge for our Thanksgiving/ Christmas celebration with Andy's side of the family. With 13 people staying in one cabin it gets pretty crazy but it's wonderful to see everyone. This year Andy's aunt and uncle got to come. His uncle is in the Air Force and is stationed in San Angelo, TX for the next 2 years.

Thanksgiving weekend we went out to my parent's house in Maryville. Lily has learned how to feed CJ from her highchair so I'm pretty sure the dog ate better than she did.

Instead of braving the crowed store on Black Friday we started our own tradition....."Firearm Friday". The Logans and Waldrops came out to my parents house for shooting targets and clay pigeons. Not to worry.... the babies stayed at the house with the grandma's while we took aim.
