16 months old

I can't believe it's almost March. Lily is now 21 lbs 4oz and 30 in long. Lily has become a regular chatter box....of course we have no idea what she's saying. She loves talking into her toy phone. Obviously she can understand a lot more that she can say. At bath time I tell her a body part (nose, belly, knees, ears, hand, elbow, etc) and she washes it with her wash cloth. New words this month include "pop" (my dad), "maw" (my mother in law....mamaw), "no-no", "cat", "boop" (book), "ow" (owl), "dut" (duck), "ro-ro-ro" (when she wants to sing "row your boat") and "wa wa" (anything in a sippy cup). If Lily has something she KNOWS she's not supposed to have she starts laughing hysterically....which makes it very easy to catch her in the act.

THIS MONTH:

Lily Loves:
-being chased and scared
-rocking her baby dolls (one of them is a spotted monkey stuffed animal...but it's still her baby)
-reading (she has favorite books she gives us to read all the time)
-writing in one of my old notebooks with a Minnie Mouse pen
-waking up daddy
-telling CJ "no-no" while shaking her finger if he does something bad
-talking on her toy phone

Lily Hates:
-sledding
-snow
-getting dressed to go out in the snow
-finger painting

In early February we headed out to my parents house to watch the Superbowl and see Nana and Pop.
 Skyping with Memphis
They just hate being grandparents. Ha Ha

On the 13th I went to Lily's class Valentines day party. Holy sugar high Batman!! After only 5 minutes and a few bites of cookie, fruit and juice Lily was running laps around the room at a speed that would put a Nascar race to shame.
 Normal Lily.....

Sugar high Lily!!!!!!

On Valentines Day we did a craft at home involving finger paints. Lily had fun with in until she realized that there was paint on her hands.....and she completely lost her mind. Picture a screaming Tasmanian Devil and that's what I was trying to clean off.
When she was realizing she didn't like paint on her hands.

We were also able to have some friends come over for baby/ doggy playdates this month.

CJ likes to optimize his chances of getting food.
Reading with Alex and Erin

Since it has iced/snowed several times we've be able to go out and play in the snow. Lily liked it the first few times until she realized that it meant being in a stiff snowsuit and being cold. One of the last times it snowed we had about 15 kids sledding down our driveway. We become very popular when it snows. I learned that Lily and CJ do not enjoy sledding.
 Eating an icicle

The McFalls slopes are open for business
 Lily crying after sledding
There is nothing cuter than a baby in a snowsuit.

We also weathered Lily's first tummy bug. Thank goodness it started in the afternoon so we weren't waking up with her all night and when it started Andy was about to get off work and could pick up Pedialyte. Luckily it only lasted 24 hours....but then she gave it to me. Oh well.

How you know she's sick.....she turned away from Sesame  Street
Daddy makes everything better

15 Months Old

15 months old!!!!

December was so much fun. Lily is now 20 lbs 5oz and 29 1/2 in long. Lily is getting into everything and wanting to climb on things we would rather she not climb on. New words this month include "shoes", "Nana", "up", "shew" (when she has a dirty diaper),  "sssssss" (when asked what a snake says), "Ar Ar" (when asked what a dog says),  "cow" (when asked what a cow says....we're still working on cow) and she can sign "food". Yesterday I told her "NO" and she smirked at me, shook her finger and proceeded to climb on the coffee table while laughing ....we are in for it.

THIS MONTH:
Lily Loves:
-trying to turn the stick that make the blinds tilt
-standing up in the bathtub
-emptying out the bottom 2 pantry shelves
-vegetables but only if they're in pancake form (ex: sweet potato pancakes)
-finding belly buttons....and then blowing raspberries on the person's belly.
-puppets
-being chased and peek-a-boo

Lily Hates:
-vegetables not in pancake form
-bedtime

Lily was very excited to see CJ when we got back from Memphis. It was very cute but I'm not sure why she was suddenly obsessed with his butt.

My nephew and I were born on the same day so we had a joint birthday party which included going to lunch at Brixx and coming back to our house for cake, ice cream and presents.

 Lily and her cousins

After the birthday party Mamaw watched Lily so Andy and I could go out on a date. We went to Bugs Bunny at the Symphony (watching great cartoons with a live orchestra). "What's Oprera Doc?, "The Rabbit of Seville" and "Baton Bunny" never sounded so good. My favorite part was listening to all the kids in the audience laughing since they had never seen the cartoons on TV.

Some other things that happened this month:

Lily met a cow
and found Daddy's work boots

Lily woke Daddy up for work
After she picked up CJs water bowl and dumped it down her front
Lily loves puppets

CJ hates puppets
Lily brushing Daddy's hair before bedtime

Thanks for helping me reorganize the pantry
