July has proven to be a busy month for the McFalls family. On July 2nd Lily had minor surgery to have tubes placed in her ears. Starting at the beginning of March every time Lily would go in to the pediatrician she would have fluid/infection behind her ear drums. The surgery went really well and there was an immediate difference. Now Lily is so much more vocal and she can definitely hear us better.
Our other medical milestone was that Lily got pinkeye for the first time.....and was kind enough to share it with me. How sweet. I learned a valuable lesson: Just because there is dosing info online for adults you should not use your child's eye drops. They won't be strong enough and after a few days your eyes will hurt so bad you will want to stab them out with a fork.
Thanks for the pinkeye Lily. Aren't these paper glasses so fashionable.
For the July 4th weekend our Memphis family came to visit my parents. Lily, CJ and I headed out to Maryville to stay for the weekend. There were fireworks, a giant slip-n-slide, good food, belly rubs for CJ and lots of play time for Lily.
Waiting for it to get dark enough for fireworks.

Lily has definitely gotten a lot more mobile. As soon as she gets put down she generally makes a beeline for one of three things: CJs toys, CJs water bowl or CJ.
We've also being doing a lot of play dates with Megan (friend from Junior League) and Abby who is 16 days younger than Lily. We've gone swimming a few times and Lily is always exhausted afterwards (YIPPIE!!!!)
