YAY April!! The month where I attempt to prove to the girls that if they can pick up 9,000 Easter eggs from a football field sized area in under a minute then they can also pick up their rooms when I ask. Maybe I should start hiding candy around their rooms for them to find while cleaning. No joke the girls went to 4 different Easter egg hunts and have the sugar highs to prove it. The girls have also started soccer this month and LOVE it. I'm just thrilled that it's a sport I understand (basketball season was interesting for me) although it makes me feel like I'm a parent of an olympian and I make the people around me laugh when I stress out.
Lily April Update:
On the soccer team Lily has been put in the position of goalie and she's pretty good at it. I kept saying "I don't know where she gets it from" but of course my mother in law reminded me that Andy played goalie (along with defense and forward). Lily is wrapping up her school year as a 2nd grader and is doing great. This summer along with the schools after school summer program the girls will be going to soccer camp and basketball camp. Lily's class has butterflies and I just have to share their names: Hot Dog Joe 2.0, Sirius Flap, Dr. Pepper O'Clock, Kerplunk, Flappachino, Dancer, Flapparoni, Demarado, Lord of the Wings and Onion Wing.

Clara April Update:
On the soccer team Clara is a midfielder and says she wants to play in the fall. One of Clara's friends had a roller skating party and both of the girls were able to attend. I rearranged some stuff in the basement and made a crafting area for the girls. Their first project was making wands out of chop sticks I don't care what they make as long as it's contained in the basement. While Lily's class has butterflies Clara's class had chicks in her class named Coco, Mango and Mr. Handsome. I think we should start letting elementary age kids name everything.
