November was one of those months where it seemed like we were really busy but when I looked back at pictures of the month I only could tell you maybe 3 things we did. Maybe it's because of more time inside or the change of the seasons but the girls are certainly getting under each others skin. The things I've said (that I never thought I would say) include "We do not poop on our sister", "stop smushing your sister", "I'm sorry you can't MAKE someone play with you" and "I know you're frustrated with her but all she did was walk into the room....you can't yell at her for that." This month our big event was an outdoor, socially distanced Thanksgiving dinner. Many thanks were given for the food, beautiful weather and the company.
This month was also a busy month for Andy who had a blood transfusion, a reaction to his chemo (pills), was taken off that chemo to let his body rest, his blood cancer markers doubled in a week (not good) and had a CT scan which didn't show any changes (confusing). So far Andy had his good days and bad days and we're just trying to take it a week/day/minute at a time.
One of the blessings of living so close to family right now is that the girls get to spend at least 1 night weekend with their grandparents (my parents or Andy's mom). Its honestly good for everyone. The girls get out of the house and get to have fun and mommy and daddy get to sleep in, run errands and enjoy the silence of a kid free house. If you're reading this and you don't have kids let me assure you that it's magical.
Lily's November Update:
Lily's favorite Thanksgiving food was rolls and sweet potato casserole (with marshmallows on top). She still loves Legos and will sit and build with them for hours. For Christmas this year Lily is asking for LOL dolls and Legos. She is more likely to play by herself than Clara. She is still enjoying school but was very excited for a 5 day weekend for Thanksgiving break. Thank goodness she has moved away from asking for a turtle. Now she just asks for a puppy. I've been saying "I'm not saying no I'm just saying not right now".
