27 weeks

How far along: 27 weeks (I'm actually 28 weeks this week but I was busy last week and didn't get around to posting it).

Baby size: The size of a rutabaga. Around 13.6-14.8 inches long and weighs 1.5-2.5 lbs. On the "dad" section of thebump.com it compares the baby's size at week 27 to a kid's lunch box.

Bellybutton in or out: I1/2 way out

Maternity clothes: Yep.

Symptoms: Hunger, an occasional contraction and heartburn.

Names: "Baby Duck"...exactly how disappointed will Lily be when the baby is not actually a duck?

Gender: Not finding out.

Movement: the baby likes to dance or play soccer or do karate in there.

Sleep: ehh....I've slept better

Food aversions: none

Food cravings: anything bad for me

Best moment(s) this week: a babymoon/ anniversary trip to a resort in Gatlinburg with Andy. It was nice not to have a toddler to chase around.

What I miss: would have been nice to have a cocktail on our anniversary trip.

What I'm looking forward to: family friends coming into town this week and a child free football game this weekend (thanks Barb)!!

What's going on with the baby: The baby is practicing inhaling and exhaling with its rapidly developing lungs. It's official: the baby is showing brain activity and it's brain will keep on getting more complex.

25 weeks

How far along: 25 weeks

Baby size: The size of a cauliflower. Around 13.6-14.8 inches long and weighs 1.5-2.5 lbs. On the "dad" section of thebump.com it compares the baby's size at week 25 to a kid's lunch box.

Bellybutton in or out:  halfway out

Maternity clothes: Yep and they're so comfy

Symptoms: Heartburn, heartburn and oh yeah heartburn

Names: "Baby Duck"

Gender: Not finding out.

Movement: Pretty much as soon as food hits my stomach the baby goes crazy.

Sleep: good

Food aversions: none

Food cravings: Anything that is bad for me, salt and ice cream.

Best moment(s) this week: normal glucose test, watching the first football game with Lily (while she paraded around the room periodically yelling "FOOTBALL") and getting a van!

What I'm looking forward to: tailgating for the UT vs Oklahoma game (then getting to watch it from home) and my sorority little sister's wedding

What's going on with the baby: It's enjoying its new sense of equilibrium (it now knows which way is up and which is down). The baby is growing more fat and hair too. (Which would explain the persistent heartburn).
