31 weeks
How far along: 31 weeks
Baby size: The size of a pineapple. Around 15.2-16.7 inches long and weighs 2.5-3.8 lbs. On the "dad" section of thebump.com it compares the baby's size at week 31 to a loaf of bread.
Bellybutton in or out: 1/2 and 1/2
Maternity clothes: YES!!! Within the past 2 weeks strangers have been saying "Congratulations" to me so I know I really look pregnant. At least the same strangers aren't trying to touch the belly.
Symptoms: heartburn, hunger and lower back pain
Names: "Little Bit"
Gender: not finding out
Movement: I think "Little Bit" has flipped head down because it spends most of the time kicking my lungs and putting pressure on my bladder.
Sleep: ok. I get to wear these very sexy wrist guards for carpal tunnel when I sleep or else I wake up with tingly hands.
Food aversions: none
Food cravings: cake, Chedder's Monster Cookie and vanilla wafers with peanut butter.
Best moment(s) this week: the baby shower, spending time with family, putting together all the baby gear and organizing the nursery
What I miss: my feet. Where did they go?
What I'm looking forward to: Junior League starting back up, a co-worker's wedding on Sat and my Doctor's appointment next week.
What's going on with the baby: The baby is going through major brain and nerve decelopment. Its eyes are developing too and its irises now react to light. All 5 senses are in working order.

30 weeks
How far along: 30 weeks
Baby size: The size of a cucumber. Around 15.2-16.7 inches long and weighs 2.5-3.8 lbs. On the "dad" section of thebump.com it compares the baby's size at week 30 to a loaf of bread.
Bellybutton in or out: 1/2 and 1/2
Maternity clothes: loving the stretchy waistbands!!
Symptoms: heartburn, hunger, leg cramps at night and random aches and pains.
Names: "Little Bit"
Gender: not finding out
Movement: All the time! Little bit enjoys playing soccer with my bladder....or any other organs it can reach. I think it was hiccupping earlier this week.
Sleep: ok. We've started letting CJ out of his crate at night and he sleeps in our room. Let me tell you there is nothing more terrifying then waking up at 1am with a ghostly white dog face 3 inches from yours. This week I also dreamed that I was going to give birth at Hogwarts.
Food aversions: none
Food cravings: vanilla wafers, peanut butter, cake, ice cream.....(thanks for the piece of cake this week Andy).
Best moment(s) this week: Andy passing his big test at work, our last childbirth class, a friend's bachelorette party and celebrating my nephew's birthday.
What I miss: nothing
What I'm looking forward to: spending time with my family coming in for the shower, my next doctors appointment later today and the baby shower on Saturday!!!!
What's going on with the baby: The baby's skin is getting smoother but it's brain is getting more wrinkly (to make way for all that essential brain tissue). It's now strong enough to grasp a finger.

29 Weeks
How far along: 29 weeks
Baby size: The size of an acorn squash. Around 15.2-16.7 inches long and weighs 2.5-3.8 lbs. On the "dad" section of thebump.com it compares the baby's size at week 29 to a loaf of bread.
Bellybutton in or out: In...but working its way out
Maternity clothes: All the time....sometime over the last week I can't see my feet anymore when I look down (I assume they're still there).
Symptoms: hunger, leg cramps while I'm sleeping, occasional heartburn (bad enough that I had to take Tums).
Names: "Little Bit"
Gender: Not finding out.
Movement: I can tell when the baby is facing different directions depending on where I feel the kicks.
Sleep: Fine once the baby stops kicking right before bed.
Food aversions: none
Food cravings: anything that will keep me full for longer than 30 minutes.
Best moment(s) this week: taking our infant safety/ CPR class, playing Cards Against Humanity at a friend's b-day party, I started working on the baby book and Andy surprising me with cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory.
What I miss: being able to relax without the baby dancing on my bladder.
What I'm looking forward to: our last childbirth class this Saturday, a friend's bachelorette party, my nephew's b-day party and the baby shower next Saturday.
What's going on with the baby: The baby is getting a little cramped in there, since it's growing so fast. But you probably already realize that, since your getting all those jabs and kicks. It's growing white fat deposits under its skin and the baby's energy is surging because of it.

28 Weeks
How far along: 28 weeks (WOOOHOOO 3rd trimester!!)
Baby size: The size of an eggplant. Around 13.6-14.8 inches long and weighs 1.5-2.5 lbs. On the "dad" section of thebump.com it compares the baby's size at week 28 to a kid's lunch box.
Bellybutton in or out: In...but working its way out
Maternity clothes: Thanks to my family, friends and co-workers I have been well supplied with maternity clothes.
Symptoms: hunger, shortness of breath, leg cramps at night and apparently I am now a walking mosquito buffet (with or without bug spray I get eaten alive).
Names: "Little Bit"
Gender: Not finding out.
Movement: The other day I swear the baby was doing flutter kicks against my bladder.
Sleep: I think the baby kicking is waking me up.....all I know is that at 4am I'm suddenly awake and really have to pee.
Food aversions: none
Food cravings: anything that will keep me full for longer than 30 minutes.
Best moment(s) this week: our first Childbirth class (thanks Andy for making me laugh the entire time), being off work for a few days and dinner out with some friends on Saturday night.
What I miss: there are some days I would kill for a Malibu and coke.
What I'm looking forward to: the baby shower and our infant safety class on Saturday.
What's going on with the baby: Little Bit is starting to develop more fat, so its wrinkly skin will start to get smoother. Its lungs are mature enough that it could probably survive if it was born now. (I think we'll let it cook a little longer.)
