Lily 2 years (33 months)

I feel like I say this every month but we've been so busy this past month. Lily was weighed the other day at the dr and is 31 lbs and almost 3 ft tall. She loves spending time with Clara and is a great big sister.

THIS MONTH:

Lily Loves:
-holding Clara
-jumping
-cottage cheese
-hair bows
-English muffins

Lily Hates:
-being asked to do anything she doesn't want to....she cries then asks for daddy

Favorite phrases:
- Lily "I SAID GET OUT A MY ROOM!!!"
Mommy "Lily who were you telling to get out of your room"
Lily "The bad guys from Apunzle (Rapunzel)"
- "I ANGRY BOUT SOMETHIN"
- "I want my daddy hold me" (anytime I ask her to do something she doesn't want to do.)
-(Lily see's bras at the store) "HEY MOMMY!!! YOU NEED SOME NIPPLES?"
-Mommy "Lily what kind of animal doesn't have any arms or legs and moves on its belly?"
Lily ".........a monkey"
This month we've made several trips out to Maryville to see Nana and Pop. The first time was because my Uncle Bill was visiting and the second time was for the 4th of July. For both visits we enjoyed swimming and sliding into the pool.

For the 4th of July Lily got to go with GG, Nana and Pop to pick blackberries and she decorated a window.

She also had some watermelon and her first ice cream cone.

When it started to get dark we lit a lantern (then we held our breath hoping our lantern didn't set something on fire.) Lily was really excited about the lantern because in one of her favorite movies (Tangled) there are lanterns.

Then we watched fireworks....from inside a very well insulated house which made them much, much quieter.

The other big event this month was a 1/2 birthday party for Clara. We decided when Clara was born that we would celebrate her birthday in the summer then have small family party on her actual birthday on Christmas. Lily enjoyed playing with her cousins and friends in the pool and on the hammock.

do we think Lily liked the ice cream cake I made?

We also attended my friend's daughters baptism. Thankfully the church was very relaxed and didn't mind Lily wandering during the ceremony. Lily also took the opportunity to insert herself into a wonderful family photo....for my friend's family.

Towards the end of the month we went to my brother and sister-in-law's house (I hadn't seen it since they moved in and painted) for dinner and to visit with family that was coming through town.

Other than that we've been to gymnastics and the park a few times and we went to see fireworks down the street.

If you guessed that they are arguing about whose hand goes where....you would be right

There was a spider in the bathtub.....
Lily was yelling at it to get out of the bathtub.

Move over Clara there's totally room for both of us.

Clara 7 Months

Clara has gotten so much more mobile this month. She will scoot on her belly and we're so close to crawling. She has gotten 2 teeth and I'm sure more are on their way with all the chewing going on. Clara now weighs 18 lbs 12 oz  and 25 1/2 inches long. She can hold her bottle, play peek-a-boo with a blanket, try (with some success) to eat cheerios  and walk herself (backwards) in her walker. She loves to stand and is trying to pull up (especially in the tub).

THIS MONTH

 Clara loves:
-Swimming (really any activity that involves water)
-peek-a-boo
-eating
-Lily
-CJ and any other dog

Clara Hates:
-mommy walking out of the room

This month has again been very busy we spent some time out in Maryville for the 4th of July. Clara got to swim in her own little pool and sleep through fireworks.

We also celebrated her 1/2 birthday with family and friends.
help from big sister blowing out candles

Instead of toys we asked for donations for the local animal shelter

We also went to see a fireworks display close to our house and went to gymnastics and the park.
