Lily 3 years (October)

I can't believe Lily is already 3. We've had a fun and very busy month with all the Halloween festivities and Lily has had a blast dressing up and going to the pumpkin patch.

 THIS MONTH:

Lily Loves:
-Some of the songs from Hamilton the Musical (Schuler Sisters and Helpless)
-pumpkins
-dressing up
-scary witch
-Cinderella

 Lily Hates:
-Chewbacca (she got scared on Halloween by someone wearing a Chewbacca costume)
- going to bed
-

 Favorite phrases:
-Lily (talking to Andy on the phone) "If you want to bring me a present....go ahead".
- "Next year for Halloween I gonna be a flower. No! A SILLY flower."
- (After trying to explain Junior League to Lily) Me "You can be in the club when you get older."
Lily "I older now....I older 'dan you. I 3 yrs old and you are 2 years old."
Me "how old is Daddy?"
Lily "69"

We started off the month normally enough with our weekly get together and outings. We had friend over to play in our back yard,
our favorite game: throwing leaves on Uncle Ross

went to gymnastics and

went out to my parents house for the UT Vs UGA game.

Then the craziness kicked in as Halloween and Lily's birthday got closer. We went to an awesome pumpkin patch and Lily enjoyed all the fun things to do there.

would this be a "corn angel"?

We celebrated Lily's birthday the week before her actual birthday. Her party was "UT Go Vols" themed like she had been requesting for 9 months. Lily enjoyed seeing her friends and playing a few UT themed games (Pin the Nose on Smokey, A "bean bag" toss where we put UGA back in his dog house and Fishing for Gators). Even the adults got in on the action.

A few days after Lily's party we were in search of something to do that was Halloween themed and ended up going trick or treating at the Cherokee Caverns down the street from out house. I had never been and was worried that it would be too scary for Lily but it was the perfect amount of time and not scary at all.

Clara 10 months

Clara is still on the move. She's started taking steps but usually only gets a few in before she falls down. I'm sure she will skip over the "toddling around" phase and one day she'll just take off running. I can tell that she is dying to be able to keep up with Lily and her friends. Her favorite finger foods include: sweet potato fries, spinach banana muffin, peas, carrots, oatmeal and pumpkin pancakes and cheerios. Clara still only has 2 teeth but is now 21lbs 2oz and 27in long.

THIS MONTH

 Clara loves:
-walking (the longest was about 7 steps so far)
-waking Lily up
-opening cabinets
- climbing

Clara Hates:
-shoes
-baby jail
-being fed pureed food

At the beginning of the month we headed out to my parent's house in Maryville to watch the UT vs Georgia game. The girls took naps at their house and woke up in time to watch the game.

We also went to a local pumpkin patch and trick or treated in a cave (Clara was less than thrilled).
