The fact that I forgot to do a February update until over halfway through March is honestly the most February thing that has happened. After the picturesque snowfall at the end of January we enjoyed days of sledding down some hills near our house. We even tried to take Penny sledding....she is firmly in the anti-sledding camp. We traveled to Nashville for a weekend to see Six the Musical and catch up with family
Lily February Update:
This month Lily was in a play for her chorus/ drama class. The play was about a kids backyard birthday party where the grown ups vanish and the kids have to pick a leader. Lily did a great job and got a couple laughs. I enjoyed seeing Lily and several of the items from my house being used as props. In Nashville Lily spending time with her......um 2nd cousins I think.....we'll just call them cousins otherwise it gets too confusing.
Clara February Update:
Seeing Six the Musical was one of Clara's Christmas gifts but we all got to enjoy it. Coincidentally around the same time both of the girls had to turn in their choices for encores/specials/electives for next year. Clara's first choice was orchestra because she had it during the fall semester and loved playing the violin. When we were in Nashville my uncle who is really into music said he had a violin she could use. He said it was Clara's great grandmothers from when she was in high school? When I got it back to Knoxville to get repairs done they said it was from around 1910 from Germany. So in a weird twist of fate I'll be sending my 10 year old to school with a 115 year old violin.
