Lily 2 years (32 months)

This past month has been really busy. We made a trip to Memphis, have gone to the pool several times, celebrated Andy's birthday, gone to several birthday parties, and a Smokies baseball game.

THIS MONTH:

Lily Loves:
-feeding Clara
-glue sticks
-cleaning
-daddy
-swimming
-doing things herself
-telling never ending stories

Lily Hates:
-spiders and bugs
-fireworks (the 4th of July should be fun)

Favorite phrases:
- "Mommy I haf boobies....I feed Clara"
- "I dust petenden I a unahorn (unicorn)" When I put a washcloth on her forehead.
- "and den da ticken was behind us an I said maybe he needs to go potty" ( story about a guy dressed as a giant chicken)
We traveled to Memphis for my great aunts 90th birthday. The trip had the added bonus of spending time with my sister and her twin girls that are 3 months younger than Lily. We went to the children's museum and the girls enjoyed playing in the toddler area, the grocery store, the airplane, the stage and climbing all over the fire trucks and police cars.

In the play grocery store it was like the show Supermarket Sweep.

They also took full advantage of splashing in the blow up pool in the backyard with their older cousins, singing karaoke and playing at 2 different parks before the birthday party.

When it was Lily's turn she regaled us with several rounds of Rocky Top

Once we got back to Memphis we got to see Uncle Ross and Aunt LG's new house which comes with a tree house (with zip line and slide) and a swing set. Lily is looking forward to spending the night.

A laundry chute= indoor toddler slide right?

It's a serious tree house!

We also celebrated Andy's birthday with an impromptu birthday party that his mom, brother and niece and nephews visited for.

A few days later we met some friends at a splash pad across town to beat the heat. Lily was a little hesitant at first but ended up enjoying playing in the water...and snack time.

Lily has also enjoyed feeding Clara which has gotten a lot less messy once Clara started swallowing her food instead of spitting it out or blowing raspberries. She occasionally reminds Clara to chew her food.

We then had a very busy Saturday which included 2 birthday parties in one day. One of the parties had Elsa from frozen come to it. Lily was nervous about Elsa until she helped Lily make a crown.

invite Lily to your party and she's mow your grass.

Also this month my best friend gave birth a little girl (apparently between the two of us we're trying to start a girls scout troupe). Lily and Clara weren't able to visit at the hospital but we did visit once they got home.

More recently we've played at gymnastics and gone to a Smokies baseball game for my work. Lily had a great time at the baseball game although we didn't watch that much of the actual game. So maybe I should rephrase that......We took Lily to a baseball game and she enjoyed eating a cookie, playing on the playground, seeing a man dressed as a giant chicken, jumping on the bounce house, meeting the Smokies mascots and eating ice cream out of a baseball helmet.

Lily has also been requesting that I take pictures of her doing random things. For example:
 with CJ
 Mulch in hair
 being a snail
 a unahorn
 I look like daddy
 climbing on the couch
