Did I forget to post the December update until the first week of January was almost over? Did it slip my mind or was I taking time to mediate and contemplate the new year? Am I only able to post it now because of a surprise snow/ ice day and the girls are playing outside trying to sled in 0.0000000001% of an inch of snow? I have decided to leave you in suspense.
Like a suitcase ready to drive the 15 minutes to Nana and Pops house December was completely packed. Both girls started basketball, we went my mother in law’s work X-mas party, did an old timey photoshoot, visited with family, were unable to escape from an escape room and last but not least watched a cow give birth (there were many questions).
Lily’s December Update:
This month Lily was excited to start practicing with her basketball team and even more excited to visit with her cousins from Maine. She asked Santa for Wicked Legos. Harry Potter Legos, Lego friends etc. She was surprised by tickets to see Hamilton when it comes to Chattanooga in the spring. In other news Lily got a new prescription for her glasses. Turns out she really needs them for distance and now enjoys Tennessee football, basketball and watching movies/ TV so much more now.
Clara’s December Update:
This month was Clara’s 1st time doing an escape room. It was an island themed room with a “volcano” in the corner that occasionally “erupted” clues like plastic coins or ping pong balls. I’m happy to report that Clara’s reflexes are top notch because she dove for safety. Also this month Clara turned 9 years old on Christmas day. She opened the 1st present of the day which was a light up greeting boards for her room and we finished the day up with 4 small cakes (they were too cute to just pick one).
