April Update (Lily 7, Clara 5)

April went by so fast I feel like I was just writing the blog update for March. At our house we're excited for this summer and all the things that come with it. Swimming, catching fireflies, moving, a trip out west and the girls first airplane flight. In April we took a weekend trip to Nashville to catch up with family from Memphis, had an Easter egg hunt at Mamaws house, and went to my nephews birthday party. On April 30th we closed on the house in Maryville and have been packing like crazy. The girls picked out paint colors for their new rooms. The both picked different shades of blue and purple. At first I was worried that it would make the rooms look too small because the color are darker and then I realized they weren't my rooms and I didn't care.

Lily's April Update:

This month Lily is excited for end of school (and spelling tests). Lily still says that math is her favorite subject. We're in trouble in the future when she doesn't understand something math related. I tried to show her how to add 2 digit numbers by carrying the one and she looked at me like I had 3 eyes and lime green hair. She's preparing for her hip hop dance recital and recently learned to do front flips on the trampoline. She is excited and nervous to start at a new school next year. She was also excited to hear that there is a 8 year old that lives next door to us in the new house.

Lily loves:
-math
-flipping on the trampoline
-pretending to do a circus on the trampoline
-open gym at gymnastics
-candy and chocolate
-movie nights
-hip hop (although she says she wants to play soccer too)

Lily hates:
-sharing with Clara

Clara's April Update

Clara is still not thrilled to be going to school 5 days a week. She says her favorite part of the day is when I picked her up and her not favorite part of the day is everything else. I'm not too worried because before Lily started Kindergarten you could tell she wanted to be done with preK. She also has been spending a lot of time on the trampoline and has learned to do front flips (sometimes she gets a little too enthusiastic, over rotates and about faceplants into the net that goes around the trampoline).

Clara loves:
-the trampoline
-playing games
-staying up late and sleeping in (a night owl just like mommy)
-gymnastics

Clara hates:
-when Lily doesn't share
