April Update (Lily 10, Clara 8)
I know time can do weird things but I’m pretty sure it was just last week that I was doing the March update. Was April only a week and a half long? Did I not get the memo? It’s probably sitting in my inbox, unread. April can be summed up in 1 word...soccer. Four days out of the week we are either at practice or at a game. People talk about having different ‘seasons’ in your life but I didn’t realize they were sports seasons. This month when we were not occupied with soccer we did some diy home improvements (ceiling fans, bird bath, painting, and getting a new dryer when our old one got a crack in the drum).
Lily’s April Update:
Lily is almost done with her K-3rd grade school and will be moving across the parking lot to the intermediate school in the fall. This month she doubled her AR goal (about 40 points) and just finished state testing. She is still enjoying playing goalie for her soccer team...even though we lost her goalie gloves and cant find them anywhere. At bedtime we finished reading the 5th Harry Potter book and had a movie night.

Clara’s April Update:
Clara also wrapped up state testing this month and doubled her AR goal. Clara is also playing goalie and defense on her soccer team. Most of the Saturday’s have been beautiful except for one morning when Clara had an 8:30am game in the rain...and being organized mom that I am I forgot to grab her jacket. Clara was really excited to help paint the bottom part of the screened in back porch and I was really excited to remember that I bought a paint sprayer (the lattice on the bottom was taking forever).

-watching the squirrels on the squirrel feeder
-digging to put in the bird bath
