If I had the time to throw a party, decorate for a party and make a big banner for the party the banner would say "WE SURVIVED FEBRUARY!!". Seriously though winter is my least favorite season and February is my least favorite month. It's dark, it's cold, the kids get cabin fever and attempt to dismantle the house brick by brick. I firmly believe that the only reason we made it through February with our sanity intact is because at the end of the month my sister and nieces came to visit so we had something to look forward to.
Lily February Update:
A few months ago Lily was invited to be in "Spring Sing", a city wide choir that has one performance. She was absolutely thrilled to be selected and had a great time practicing and doing the performance. The girls also finished up their basketball season this month. They both won more games than they lost and say they want to do the basketball clinic this summer.

Clara February Update:
Ok people with 8 year olds tell me if this is a Clara thing or if it's something that most 8 year olds do. Clara seems to come up with a weekend schedule in her head but doesn't tell anyone else but then gets upset when we can't accommodate her. Examples include wanting to swim at 5:30 when the pool closes at 6, building a candy shop out of cardboard and weaving with yarn. I feel terrible saying no (I don't all the time) but also I have to remind her that "it's my weekend too". Other than that Clara has really enjoyed basketball and putting on shows on the trampoline since the weather has gotten warmer.
