October Update (Lily 8, Clara 5)

October was another busy month. Added into the usual mix of school, work, gymnastics and dance we also added visits from my sister and brother-in-law, joining girl scouts, and a birthday party. The girls both got haircuts this month. Lily had been growing hers out for a few years so she could donate it. They both look so much older after their haircuts. The girls both started girl scouts this month. I was lucky enough to find troops that meet on the same night at the same place. So far they love it. Lily is working on her bug badge and Clara is working on her puddle badge (?).

Lily October Update:

Lily has really gotten into the swing of school. She isn’t complaining as much about homework after school and her teacher reports that she has really come out of her shell in class. For her birthday Lily decided on a party at home (ugh... that means I actually had to clean and organize stuff). We had family over an a few friends for Lily’s Harry Potter themed party. For Lily’s birthday Clara gave her a box of graphic novels and now Lily has discovered a few new favorite books/series.

This month Lily loves:

-graphic novels (Salem Hyde series)

-smokey (the real dog)

-her new hair cut

-Rainbow High dolls

-The Loud House tv show

-fidgets

Clara October Update:

Clara has already “mastered” the cartwheel and round off so now she’s working on handstands. When Clara looks at a small space taken up by toys or large dogs named CJ she doesn’t think “hmmm I shouldn’t do a cartwheel here” she sees it as a challenge. There have been several times that she has crashed into the coffee table, chair, toys, CJ and as of last night a large spiderweb decoration in the front yard. She then cries while I explain for the millionth time that not every space is made for gymnastics. Clara is also enjoying school and every day she tells be “whole day was a good”.

This month Clara loves:

-reading road signs

-gymnastics

-Barbies

-popcorn

-monkey bars (and she has the blisters on her palms to prove it)

-fidgets

Visit with Uncle Travis or "Radish" as Clara has started calling him.
